syllabus of Movies and Politics

"The main purpose of this course is to give students a general conceptual framework which could serve as a useful instrument for understanding politics.

After the course students are expected to be familiar with a set of important political concepts, and learn how to apply it to analyze political issues.

The topics discussed are divided into four parts. The first is the general concepts of politics, including what politics is, how and why to learn politics. The second part focuses on the spectrum of political ideologies, from the left to the right, including Marxism, socialism, capitalism, and liberalism etc., the prototype and its various modifications as well. Different ideologies mean different images of world views, which are the basis of political ideals and the origin ofpolitical reform or revolution. The third part concerns with the relationships between the state and the
individuals. I will introduce different kinds of ruling types existed in the world, explore the idea of civil rights and evaluate various political activities, comparing their impacts on the society. The Final part is international politics, and a particular emphasis will be placed on the complicated conflicts between different states. All the topics discussed in the course are the most important issue, and were frequently discussed in the discipline of political science. "

I wish, someday, I could become someone who can give such kind of good impressions on others~ congrats for the blog's anniversary... (except I think I spelt it wrong XDDD). Hey ~ it's not even 10/3 yet, haha, but I wouldn't be able to come online that day probably, so... hmm... traveling experiences sound so attracting ~ my summer was full of classes... and America can be quite boring indeed sometimes...

best wishes ~ ^^"
