Turkey Party at Dann Park

Thanksgiving is traditionally celebrated with a large dinner shared among friends and family in North America. While I borrowed its spirit here to celebrate the end of the long-lasting midterms with my classmates. Originally I thought it was easily prepared but later I ran into some difficulties with time and place-choosing. Finally we made it and had great time; it might be the happiest time I've ever had in the latter half year. It is worth mentioning that I got the feeling of childhood when Keyzaros complained to intellidryad about his unwitting behavior(we elementary classmates used to amusing each other like that)!
















This is our Turkey Package purchased from 國賓飯店. Actually the turkey was small for 10 people, and not to mention that tiny cinnamon pumpkin pie and half french bread. Luckily we still had two huge bags of tortillas, 3 bottles of red wine and some soft drinks.
















The major contributor-turkey-of the party. I got some interesting information from wikipedia about different types of main dish for Thanksgiving: "On the West Coast of the United States, Dungeness crab is common as an alternate main dish, as crab season starts in early November. Turducken, a turkey stuffed with a duck stuffed with a chicken, is becoming more popular, from its base in Louisiana. Deep-fried turkey is rising in popularity as well, requiring special fryers to hold the large bird, and reportedly leading to fires and bad burns. Sometimes a variant recipe for cooking turkey could be used, for example a Chinese recipe for goose could be used on the similarly-sized American bird. Vegetarians or vegans may try tofurkey, a tofu based dish with imitation turkey flavor."
















The stuffing. No one could guess what were exactly insdie, only with ideas that there were some bread, unknown vegetables and mushrooms. And it was pretty sure that the cooking procedures were quiet delicate. Eating with special cranberry sauce and gravy made it perfect.
